Teenworks Iowa

Teenworks, Iowa is a sister to Teenworks,Michigan, which is where the directors, Jeff and Wanda Burdick moved from in 2007. In Michigan, the Burdicks operated a similar support system for home schoolers for 25 years. Teenworks, Michigan still exists and it is running well with others carrying on the work. www.teenworks.net

This support in Iowa includes once a week tutoring in academic classes, meeting every Thursday at the Corwith Library, Corwith, Iowa. The students may participate in several other events such as speech and debate tournaments, graduation ceremony, senior activities, college tour and social events through out the year. Mrs. Burdick is available to parents for assistance in high school and college planning, curriculum planning, and other helps that are beneficial to the home school family.

The goal of Teenworks – Iowa is to help Christian home school families meet their home school goals. TWI is a Christian organization that teaches and promotes a biblical worldview and believes the Bible is the final authority for all issues or philosophies.

The directors, the Burdicks, have home schooled their children and now have eight grandchildren that are being home schooled. They reside on a family dairy farm in Wesley, Iowa with their family.
