Refunds and Payment Policy
Usual Procedure.
When a family registers for a class we accept this as a well-intentioned desire to take this class and that the parent intends to pay all fees associated with this commitment. We will do a test to make sure you can make a good Internet connection and that you are satisfied with the quality of reception before class begins. From this point on, we assume that families would not register for a class that they intend to drop later. Even though you have until July 20 to drop a class we ask that you not abuse this policy. If we reserve a slot for a student, then it prevents others who might be interested from taking the class. This commitment is what our tutors use to plan an income from this class. That is why we do not refund any fees already paid unless we cannot offer the class or the student cannot meet the academic requirements of the class. Unusual circumstances such as illness, injury, or death are certainly reviewed and considered.
Failure to Provide Service.
If we determine that we have not provided for you, the customer, the academic or technical commitment that we have promised, then we will refund all monies paid for that class minus $10.00 to cover office expense.
Refunds. If due to lack of availability or placement test failure, we cannot provide the family with a minimum of one class, we will refund the registration fees minus $10.00 to cover office expense. Otherwise registration fees are non-refundable, and the yearly contract for registration remains the obligation of the family.
Withdrawals. Withdrawal from a class can be made prior to July 20 with no penalty and class deposits will be refunded (not registration fee). After July 20 withdrawals can be made with no refund of any monies paid and families are obligated to pay for the year. By not withdrawing prior to July 20, this is seen as a tacit commitment to the class for the year and will be required to pay for the class even if you withdraw at a later date.
Mutual Agreement. We assume we are dealing with families that will exercise self-government and honesty. We deal in good faith and expect the same from the families for whom we provide services. We also expect families to communicate with us and not to others about a problem. Occasionally we find a family that does not demonstrate self-government or honesty in the registration process or during the year. If this happens we try to contact the family in order to resolve the disagreement or misunderstanding. If the family does not communicate with us, then we will withdraw that family from the class and ask that they not return again.
