What is Collegeworks?What is Collegeworks?Collegeworks is an accelerated learning program, designed to accomplish an Associate in Arts or Bachelor of Arts degree without the expense and time that a traditional college campus requires. It is also a means for students seeking a traditional college experience to complete their degree in a shorter amount of time, by earning credit for entry level courses with CBE and then transferring into a traditional college or university .Who is Collegeworks For?Anyone who wants to earn a degree at an accelerated rate and anyone who wants to earn and store college credit for their future degree program. High school students are welcome to sign up for their choice of subject. Parents are also welcome to join in and earn credit towards their degree. Credits are banked until they are transferred to the college of choice. One example of the acceptability of CBE is that the CLEP exam is accepted by 2900 colleges and universities which will grant credit or advanced standing.What is Accelerated Distance Learning?Accelerated distance learning, or ADL is a method to complete a degree at an accelerated pace through credit by examination, portfolio assessment, traditional and online classes. Collegeworks students use the principles of ADL to complete approximately one major exam every two weeks earning three to six credits per exam towards their degree. This will result in a degree in a shorter amount of time and with less expense than a traditional college program.How does Collegeworks assist and provide Accelerated Distance Learning?Collegeworks offers several ways to assist the student in completing their degree program.What is Credit by Examination?For many years now colleges have recognized credit by examination as one way to fulfill the requirements of a degree program. CBE basically involves taking tests that are viewed as the completion of certain college courses. There are several varieties of CBE, CLEP (College Level Examination Program) being the most common. DANTES, AP, and TECEP testing are other varieties of CBE. Most of the exams are multiple-choice computerized tests and are scored upon completion of the exam.College Planning AvailableMrs. Burdick is available to do a college plan to assist you in your decisions concerning higher education. The following will be offered during the appointment. Appointments are done online only and are fully interactive audio and visual. Mrs. Burdick has done many college-planning sessions online with success. Contact wburdick@teenworks.net to schedule a session.

Who are the Collegeworks Instructors?All of our instructors have a current Christian testimony and will present a biblical worldview as it applies to the subject matter. Collegeworks instructors are highly qualified in the field in which they are teaching, allowing them to present course material in a way which will adequately prepare the diligent student to successfully receive credit by examination. |
